Alumni Association of Our College Hosts Inaugural Alumni Salon

On June 13, the inaugural "HuaYu TongXing" Alumni Salon and the supporting industry-university-research linkage event themed "Jiangsu Alumni Visit Beijing University of Chemical Technology" were successfully held on the East Campus of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Co-organized by the Alumni Association of the School of Chemical Engineering and the Jiangsu Alumni Association of the University, this event constitutes a key initiative of the School to strengthen alumni association development and optimize university-enterprise interaction. Tang Lisheng, President of the Jiangsu Alumni Association, Cheng Daojian, Dean of the School, representatives from 12 alumni-owned enterprises and 12 school research teams attended the activity, which was presided over by Sun Baochang, Vice Dean of the School.

Cheng Daojian, Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering, delivered an opening address. He reviewed the College’s nearly 70-year development history, disciplinary achievements and progress of its four major action plans, and elaborated on the original intention of launching collaborative exchanges via the alumni association. He pointed out that alumni are invaluable assets and vital bonds driving the development of the university.Our college will fully advance alumni association development to better meet alumni demands and support their career growth. He expressed the hope that this event would serve as a new starting point to deepen docking with alumni enterprises, jointly promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, facilitate two-way talent exchange, and realize mutual benefit and win-win results for all parties.

Tang Lisheng, President of the Jiangsu Alumni Association, briefly recounted the development journey and brand events of the association. He stated that this activity is a significant move for the alumni association to act as a bridge connecting the alma mater and local alumni enterprises. He looked forward to deepening integrated industry-university-research development between the Jiangsu Alumni Association and the School of Chemical Engineering, building a long-term communication platform, and fostering two-way interaction and joint progress between the university and enterprises.

The Jiangsu Alumni Association presented an exquisite piece of Suzhou Song Brocade to the School, conveying alumni’s sincere blessings and profound affection for their alma mater.

During the seminar and exchange session, representatives of each research team took turns introducing their research focuses, scientific achievements and cooperation demands. Meanwhile, representatives of Jiangsu alumni enterprises elaborated on corporate profiles, technical bottlenecks and cooperation intentions. Participants held intensive discussions around technical breakthroughs, project collaboration and industrialization of research outcomes, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere on site.

In the final part of the event, the delegation of alumni representatives visited the Ministry of Education Research Center for Hypergravity Engineering.
