On the morning of March 18, 2026, a delegation led by Hu Jiangbing, Party Secretary and Director of the Tongling Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, visited the College of Chemical Engineering.
At the beginning of the meeting, both sides introduced the participants. Hu Jiangbing presented an overview of Tongling’s scientific and technological innovation development, as well as its needs for industry–university–research collaboration, expressing a strong willingness to further deepen cooperation between the city and the university and to promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. Dean Daojian Cheng extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the college’s discipline development, research platforms, talent cultivation, and its contributions to national and regional development.
During the technical exchange session, several research teams from the college presented their key research areas and achievements. Professor Daojian Cheng shared the research progress of the team on intelligent chemical engineering, under the theme of big data and artificial intelligence empowering industrial transformation and upgrading. Liu Wei introduced the innovative achievements and application prospects of the High-Gravity Technology team in process intensification and enhanced mass transfer. Xue Zhe presented the research directions and representative outcomes of the Mass Transfer and Separation Center. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on aligning key technologies with Tongling’s industrial needs, pathways for technology transfer, and potential models for future collaboration, creating a dynamic and productive atmosphere.
Following the meeting, both parties agreed to take this exchange as an opportunity to further strengthen communication and coordination, and to advance practical cooperation in key technology development, joint platform construction, and talent exchange, thereby supporting high-quality regional industrial development.
Prior to the symposium, the delegation from the Tongling Municipal Science and Technology Bureau visited the college’s history exhibition hall, gaining a deeper understanding of its development history, disciplinary strengths, and representative research achievements.
