On the afternoon of October 25th, the appointment ceremony for honorary professors of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) was held in the multi-function hall on the first floor of the conference center. Professor Juan Manuel Lema Rodicio, an outstanding professor from the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain and the president of the Royal Galician Academy of Sciences, was appointed as an honorary professor of BUCT. Vice President Wang Feng, Director of the Human Resources Department Wang Zhongming, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department Zhang Bing, and Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering Cheng Daojian attended the appointment ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Liu Guangqing, Executive Dean of the Belt and Road Global Cooperation Research Institute.
During the ceremony, Dean Cheng Daojian introduced the basic information of Professor Juan Manuel Lema Rodicio. Vice President Wang Feng presented the appointment letter to Professor Juan Manuel Lema Rodicio, and a student representative pinned the school badge on the professor and presented flowers.
In his speech, Vice President Wang Feng stated that BUCT actively responds to the national education opening policy and the spirit of promoting the Belt and Road initiative, actively carries out global education and technology cooperation, and has established broad partnerships with more than 180 higher education institutions and scientific research institutes in over 50 countries.
